Full Description

House, now cafe. Early C18 with later C18 additions and late C19 alterations. Brick, painted at front. Plain tile roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and 3 bays. Brick storey band. The windows are sashed. The door, in the right-hand bay, has 4 bolection-moulded sunken panels, a plain rectangular overlight, and a late C19 pilaster doorcase with mutuled cornice. A lean-to against the right-hand (west) gable wall has one sashed window. Its front wall is continued upwards as a screen wall, which abuts No.8 (qv) at the right and contains a gateway with boarded door at the right. Chimney on left-hand gable. INTERIOR: not inspected. RCHM records original staircase with turned balusters and moulded handrail. 2 good quality original fireplaces and a single late C18 fireplace.
