Full Description

Public house. c1845-50. Brick with some stone dressings. Slate roof. EXTERIOR: symmetrical front of 2 storeys and 3 bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes with horns and with rusticated stone lintels. Above the ground-floor doorway there is a shallow window. The doorcase is painted, with an architrave, consoles, and a cornice. The roof eaves and verges overhang. Gable chimneys. To the left and right there are single-storey one-bay wings. The left-hand wing is of C20 cavity brickwork, and the right-hand one has 2-storey additions behind. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: City of York: London: 1972-: 126).
