Full Description

House, now flats. c1845-50. Brick with slate roof. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys above a basement. 2 bays. The 1st and 2nd floor windows are C20 casements imitating 12-pane sashes. They have sill bands and painted rusticated lintels. At the left on the ground floor there is a sashed timber canted bay window with a mutuled cornice. Its rendered base has a C20 glazed door to a basement flat facing forwards, and glazed lights to each side. The main ground-floor doorway, at the right, has a Tuscan pilaster doorcase with a mutuled cornice and panelled reveals. The door has 4 panels and a plain rectangular overlight. The gutter is carried on plain rectangular brackets. Shared chimneys to left and right. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: City of York: London: 1972-: 126).
