Full Description
House. 1827-8 with some C20 alterations. Roughcast brick with slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys above a basement. One bay. The basement window is a glazing bar sash, and the ground-floor window is similar but with a segmental head. The first floor window is a C20 casement. The doorway, at the left, is reached by a flight of 5 external steps with nosings. The doorcase has engaged fluted columns, a frieze with trigylphs, a mutuled cornice, and a fanlight. The door has 6 raised and fielded panels. Shared ridge chimneys to left and right. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: the front garden is enclosed by low brick walls with stone copings and iron railings with onion finials. The front wall contains an iron gate with turned cast-iron gateposts which have ball and pedestal finials.
