Description
A two trench archaeological evaluation was undertaken prior to proposed development at
No. 6 Government House Road, York. The trenches were required to evaluate the footprint of
a proposed new dwelling as the site lies in an area with the potential to contain
archaeological features. Both of the trenches revealed a similar sequence of deposits, all of which appear to date to the 19th century or later.
