Description

Excavation of a Romano-British inhumation and cremation cemetery. Excavation was carried out by LP Wenham in 1951-52, 1957, 1958 and 1959. Main excavations covered some 350 sq yds on each side of Trenholme Drive at its junction with Mount Vale. Some 316 inhumations and 50 cremations were excavated.
