Description

YORK SE6051NW LENDAL 1112-1/28/548 (North East side) Gates and railings approx 20m south-west of No.9 the Judge's Lodging GV II Wall, railings and gates forming boundary to forecourt to The Judge's Lodging (qv). c1853. By William Walker. Rendered brick wall, cast-iron gates, gate posts and railings. Low wall surmounted by turned railings with spearhead tips and standards with mace head finials. Gate posts are fluted columns with ball finials: gate rails similar to wall railings and stiles have anthemion finials.
