YORK SE5751SW YORK ROAD, Acomb 1112-1/18/1208 (North side) Milestone at NGR SE 5739 5139 II Milestone. Late C19; re-set in C20. Cast-iron. Of triangular plan, below a semicircular top plate which is inscribed 'COLLINGHAM & YORK ROAD ACOMB'. Left-hand face inscribed: 'YORK 2 MILES'. Right-hand face inscribed: 'WETHERBY 11 1/2 MILES. COLLINGHAM 13 1/2 MILES. LEEDS 24 MILES'. Listing NGR: SE5739051390
