House, now shop. Mid C18; refronted in mid C19 with C19 shopfront, altered in C20. Orange-grey brick in Flemish bond with stone dressings; timber shopfront and guttering; pantile roof. EXTERIOR: 3-storey 3-window front. Shopfront framed in Doric pilasters with plain fascia and moulded cornice; doors to shop and upper floors recessed in lobby to left of plate glass window. First floor windows are 12-pane sashes with painted sills and stone lintels. On second floor, blocked outer openings with lintels flank 4-pane sash window which interrupts second floor sill band. Eaves frieze and guttering on block brackets. INTERIOR: not inspected. Included for group value as an intergral part of Goodramgate. (City of York: RCHME: The Central Area: HMSO: 1981-: 136).
